AS MOST P38 OWNERS WILL KNOW THE EAS AIR SUSPENSION ON THE P38 RANGE ROVER IS A TROUBLESOME PART OF THIS MODEL FROST,ICE,SALT OFF THE ROADS,POTHOLES IN THE ROAD,MUDD AND A NUMBER OF OTHER
REASONS CAN & DO CAUSE THE HEIGHT SENSORS TO THROW A FAULT AND DROP YOU DOWN TO THE BUMPSTOPS AND PUT THE CAR INTO FAULT MODE.
IT IS ADVISABLE NOT LEAVE IT UNTIL YOU ARE IN FAULT MODE TO ORDER THIS ITEM.

In time gone by this would have meant a trip to the main dealer to have your car put on The testbook computer to diagnose the
problem and clear the faults. This is no longer the case
On many occasions there is not a fault and the air suspension as gone into fault mode as a result of a blip in the system such as a height sensor going out of range (very common and all that is needed is a reset) etc etc and all it needs is to be connected to a computer and
reseting now if you own a laptop you can do this yourself as many times as you like for the one off cost of this lead and the Free EAS
diagnostic software (freeware) provided saving you between £50-£70 each time plus the
Inconvenience and the discomfort of Going to the dealer on the bump stops.
Should there be a fault that has caused your problem then it will give you the fault codes and with the list of codes I provide you can see what part is causing the fault and change it yourself.
The software also enables you to callibrate new height sensors and test all the ride heights on the vehicle.In effect this one off purchase could save you hundreds of pounds on dealer costs over a period of time.
In the passenger foot-well of your Range Rover next to the centre of the car under the dashboard you have a 16 pin OBDII diagnostic socket, this advert is for the correctly wired cable to connect between the vehicles diagnostic socket and your computer
Please note that a standard OBDII to RS232 lead will not work as the connections are not compatable with the EAS software.I have built each one of these EAS leads myself.These leads have to be specially adapted and i then connect each lead to a spare eas ecu from a hse range rover p38 and check them before being sent out which means that it is despatched fully tested and working.
