Constructed from durable 16-gauge mild steel tubing, these headers utilize a long transition collector to reduce back pressure and enhance exhaust flow. The 5/16" machined flanges with welded O-ring seals ensure a perfect sealing surface at each exhaust port, maintaining header integrity.

Experience has shown that this flange size is optimal for both durability and effective sealing. Tubing is mandrel-bent to preserve metal strength and maintain consistent tube diameter at bends, maximizing performance.

Hooker Competition headers come with a standard finish featuring heat-cured, high-heat-resistant paint.

Does not fit with angle plug heads or raised port heads

Installation requires air conditioning bracket #10925HKR left side or 10926HKR right side

On 1979 and later vehicles with short compressors, use short bracket

Ceramic coated headers should not be used for breaking in engines as it may damage the coating and void warranties. Use cast iron exhaust manifolds or old headers instead.

Header wraps can cause cracking or rust due to excessive heat and moisture build-up. Use of header wraps will void the warranty.

Hooker long tube headers do not include header reducers.
