Make sure all connections are tight and replace frayed / corroded Battery Cables

Check Neutral Safety Switch

* Flywheel / Shims - Free Spinning / Noisy Starter

Check Flywheel and pinion for damage or wear

Check Starter Motor Shims and Starter Bolts for proper alignment and torque
