This auction is for a large Ritchie HB-71 Offshore Boat Compass.  It has been very very lightly used, remaining in excellent condition and still looking quite IMPRESSIVE.  Card indicates the Cardinal Points as well as degrees.  Numbers are LARGE AND EASY TO READ.  Very nicely internally gimballed, with prominent lubberlines and a sapphire jeweled pivot bearing for long life.   Adjustable mount allows use on any vertical or horizontal surface in the cockpit, flybridge or wheelhouse.  Movable sunshade, with 12 Volt illumination for night running.  It is equally appropriate for Sail or Power vessels.  

   Quite a good sized instrument-  It measures 5 3/4" tall and about 6" wide. it will project about 6 1/2" from wall or bulkhead if mounted verically, or will be about 7 1/2" tall, standing in it's mount on a horizontal surface.  If mounted on vertical surface, it can be adjusted for any slant of the mounting surface.   Marked "Ritchie...Pembroke, Mass. 02359."  "Model HB-71" on the tag on the bottom.
