Up for consideration, I have a powerhead removed from a 1998 30 HP Mercury outboard. This will bolt up to 30 and 40 hp motors. I'm not sure the exact difference between the 30 and 40s. This was a pull start model so I couldn't crank it over fast to get a strong compression reading, but just by using the pull start I got 105/110 PSI. Id guess probably would read in the 120-130 range or higher if using an electric starter. Definitely has good compression.
