Accessory Fold Down Bumper Guard

Was from a 1938 Desoto with a rumble seat -

 Unsure if this was an actual accessory for the 38 Desoto or if was from something else. There is a photo of an example of a similar fold down guard for reference (photo not included)

Has been rechromed in the past and still has a fantastic finish even though it is used

NOTE:  Unsure if there is anything missing. -- when folded it is not very tight, and appears that if driven when installed the guard would fold down at any little bump. I thought about simply adding hook or simply some hook and loop pads to keep it tightly closed.  However, offering as found, so you would need to fabricate something to keep it tightly closed under movement.

Unsure if can be used on any other application -

 measurements:

 aprox 15.5" tall 

center stud to center stud 5.25"

bracket clamps are aprox 2.5" x 1.25" ID
