MOTOR DESCRIPTION:

Here for your consideration is a SUPER clean all original 1965 model year Johnson 3 horsepower short shaft "weedless" drive outboard motor! This one has been put up for some time but does have two thumps of strong and even compression. This motor uses the OMC "universal magneto", meaning that any magneto service parts needed are going to be the cheapest of all brands past and present. This magneto was used in 1 1/2-40 horsepower engines for many years! I can't find anything wrong with the motor- it looks complete, tank is decently clean and the prop is undamaged. It would be a good idea to rinse out the gas tank with a solvent before trying to use.

DELIVERY / TERMS:

PLEASE READ for August 1, 2024 Travel/delivery details- I will be leaving from Western KY around 7am central time on Thursday August 1st, 2024 and I will be proceeding EAST on Western Kentucky Parkway to NORTH on I-65 North toward Louisville to EAST on I-264 to NORTH on I-71 through Cincinnati, Columbus and northward to I-271 to EAST on I-90 through Erie, Buffalo areas and to Syracuse by the end of August 1.

On the afternoon of August 2 I will be resuming travel to New England via EAST on I-90 to NORTH on I-87 a few miles to Route 7 east toward New Hampshire. Final destination is New London, NH. I will be there for a few days

It is up to YOU to determine a meeting point at a gas station or fast food business / hotel parking lot along the way, and communicate it to me after you've won the motor. Acts of God and traffic issues may change estimated arrival time in your area. I will keep customers updated during the trip with progress and any delays.

These delivery transactions are to be paid CASH ONLY, no paypal or ebay checkout for motor deliveries. This is technically a "pick up" transaction and it is 100% in accordance with ebay rules that the terms are defined by the seller and cash is allowed. Because of past failed bidders, I may send you an ebay message if you have bid on a motor(s). If you do not respond to confirm that you are able to pick up at a later date in western Kentucky or take delivery August 1, 2024 along my travel route, then I may cancel your bid. Any pick up in western Kentucky will be done timely after my trip is over.
