Selling the above listed component off a 1988 Johnson 28 HP 2 stroke Outboard. Model #J28ESLCCR.  I am parting this motor out due to bad lower unit.  I had this motor running for 5 seconds just  long enough to see if it would run.  Otherwise all other inspections are visual or bench test.

Close visual inspection shows no reason to believe item is not fully functional.  Stator pickups and coils look really clean.  Never overheated.  All wiring harness comes with it.  This motor had electric start, so if your wanting to convert, this is what you would need.  I am also selling the starter, starter bracket, and flywheel.
