This is a one of a kind alternator pulley for the Jeep 4.0 L six cylinder engine and 2.5 L four cylinder engine. First, it is made from lightweight aluminum and has a nice chrome finish. Secondly, it is an overdrive pulley, meaning it’s smaller diameter than the standard steel pulley, so your alternator will spin faster than previously, which will increase the electrical output of the alternator. This becomes especially significant when your Jeep is idling, so rather than buying a new expensive high output alternator, this is a solution for increasing the alternator’s output without the need extra cost of buying a new one and without the need to spend the time and labor replacing the alternator. You just change the pulley.


Currently there doesn’t appear to be any company producing one of these. A brand new 1.9” aluminum pulley was purchased, then machined properly so that it would bolt right into place one the Jeep’s alternator and tighten down using the original nut.


This is a direct bolt on. Your stock nut can be used to tighten it down. It is smaller in diameter than the standard pulley but your stock serpentine belt will take up the slack when you tighten your tensioner.


Last three pictures show two stock pulleys and this one. This is pictured last. Notice it is lighter than both stock steel units, also it is smaller than both. The smaller size means it will turn more times per RPM than any standard steel unit, which in turn increases the electrical output of the alternator.


Note: This is being sold at a discounted price because there are some minor surface blemishes like a small scratch here and there but nothing that affects the function of the pulley.
