I bought the car as a non-running project with a locked-up motor. I'm doing a Resto mod and going with a 5 speed and offering this transmission for sale. I drained the oil it looked good with NO metallic particles. I pulled the top plate and gears look good and factory paint markings are visible. I did not replace top plate gasket on top cover so it will need new one. I shifted in manually thru all gears including reverse with No problems. The shafts spin freely. I then cleaned case and painted with Ford Blue engine enamel. I don't see anything wrong with this Transmission but I have never operated in running condition and it is 52 years old so it is beings sold "used as is" with NO warranty.
