Evinrude Lightning 2 Lower Unit Empty Housing. This has been properly blocked off prior to glass beading. This has has a new section of skeg welded on and skim coated with FRP bondo to fill small air holes that always develop with the alloy that BR uses. The rod used was 4043. The bondo is also always used to block the unit prior to painting. This housing had a whale tail mounted and those holes have been properly reamed,beveled,then filled. Keep in mind that the Lightning series of lower units incorporate a camber in the skeg to help with prop torque at high motor elevations. This is sold as an empty housing ready for final cleaning and prep for your own paint.
