Toyota 4Runner FUEL  FILTER  STOP THE FUEL LEAK

when INSTALLING NEW FUEL FILTER

and filter   RE-LOCATION KIT

2nd Gen Toyota

This kit we found online solves TWO PROBLEMS

A) Most filters are located on frame rail on the back side of frame

( above/behind torsion bar)   Very hard to reach with R&R labor

time of up to 45 minutes  !

B) Item 2 .... Toyota used a 14.5 MM inverted flare fitting . Fram and

other REPLACEMENT filters LEAK GAS on installation.

   C) Go back to ITEM A )  Labor to R&R this filter averages 45 minutes

By the time you INSTALL the new filter and DISCOVER it LEAKS GAS

you now have to REMOVE THE BRAND NEW FILTER  !

D)  Many Toyota WEBSITES  ( user  sites ) explain that the NEW FRAM

(and many other NON OEM Toyota filters LEAD MASSIVELY and

MANY SITES EXPLAIN that the mechanic RE-INSTALLS the OLD filter

and NO LEAK ... Installs the NEW FILTER and MASSIVE GAS LEAK

E ) Please note that each R&R ( remove and replace TAKES  45 MINUTES )

The SOLUTION

Go to the dealer ship and purchase a near Fuel  $ 50 Filter

or USE the Filter kit  in this ad .

RE-LOCATING the FILTER is OPTIONAL.

WHY NOT replace 45 minutes with under 5 minutes by RE-LOCATING FILTER !

( Fram / Wix and most aftermarket are $ 12-$ 20 )

AND now the Toyota websites  TELLS YOU TO INSTALL

PURE COPPER  ( soft / annealed )  CRUSH WASHERS

on for each 14.5 mm IF fitting on the filter ;

The crush washers actually SEAL on the LIP of the inverted ( IF ) fittings

The CRUSH WASHER ACTUALLY HAS A

TOYOTA PN # of 90430-14002  and a cost of $ 2.81 each

( Actual size of CRUSH WASHER fits INSIDE each end of the filter )

FILTER RE-LOCATION  ( OPTIONAL  )

On my personal 4 Runner the fuel line was routed tight against the frame .

The HARD fuel lines that go to the filter position the filter in a very

difficult  spot to replace . Average labor time is 45 minutes if YOU

do not have a  gas leak . My mechanic worked in a dealership for

over 20 years ...and quoted me 45 minutes labor IF NEW FILTER

DID NOT LEAK .  ( It did / so did 3 other brand new replacements ! )

He re-installed the OLD FILTER and NO LEAKS !

He went to his

computer and ordered me the TOYOTA FUEL FILTER kit

we now offer to you in this ad !
