Up for consideration, I have a lower unit removed from a 1997 40 HP Mercury-Force 2 cylinder 2 Stroke outboard. Its in nice used condition cosmetically. Its in good working condition. The gear oil looked good and it shifts and turns fine. If you arent sure on fitment, send me your motors serial number. This will fit 1995-1999 force 40/50 hp motors in addition to many mercury/mariner models.
