U bolts and axle mounting plates from my 1981 c30 / 1 ton 2 wheel drive dually. The truck sat for over 10 years. There is rust on both mounting plates but they are still usable just no pretty. These are the factory U bolts and they do have rust. You can see pretty heavy rust where mud sat for years on the top side of mounting plates. Threads on U bolts should be cleaned up.
