I recently made a trip to the Pic-a-Part in Las Vegas to get some parts for one of my project vehicles and I noticed they had a Smart ForTwo that was fresh inventory and I decided to see if there were any parts I might be able list for sale on eBay and make it a "win-win" proposition for all parties.
The part is the Transmission Control Module, or TCM, TCU. This part was removed from a 2015 Smart ForTwo but I believe the same part was used by Smart for vehicles built between 2008 and 2015. Please check the part number of the module you are looking to replace to ensure they are a direct match.
I don't have the ability to test the part but I assume that it is in operating condition because the donor vehicle was in the wrecking yard due to collision damage but there was no damage near the area where the module was located.
Please note: This part may, or may not, require programming to match the VIN of the vehicle being repaired.
