This is an original GM Holley 4 Barrel carburetor. The numbers stamped into the choke tower are as follows:  3908959-EY  LIST 3839 711. The 3908959 EY is the GM part number. The List 3839 is the Holley number. The 711 is the date code. The Holley List 3839 carburetor was used by GM on the 1967 Chevelle/El Camino with the 396/350HP engine backed by a manual transmission w/California SMOG equipment. That's right, this carb only came on one model with one specific high performance engine and only those with a manual transmission. On top of that, it only came on cars with California SMOG equipment. This carb is one hard to find unit. The 711 date decodes as the 1st week of January 1967. That's right, this is a real deal early production line installed carburetor!

This carb is in amazing survivor condition as shown. This carb must have been taken off an engine very early in sts life.  The plating is awesome with fantastic coloring and even has a plethora of original ink stampings intact.  The carb is totally complete as shown. All parts move freely. The metering block is stamped 5277 as shown which is correct for this carb. I removed the bowls to show that this carb is extremely clean on the inside. The gaskets look to be the original cork units. I don't think this carb had ever been apart before I pulled the bowls. Needless to say, the gaskets are dried and and shrunken and need replacement.  This carb has been in storage for decades and should be restored before use. This is an amazing survivor carb that would be right at home on the nicest of cars.

This is your chance to own the original GM Holley 4 barrel carb your have been dreaming about at a great price. Don't Miss Out!
