Up for consideration, I have a lower unit that will fit 1989-1992 40-50 HP 2 CYLINDER MODEL johnson evinrudes. Its in good used condition. Its in good working condition and clean for its age. The oil looks a bit milky (See pic) and may need new seals, but otherwise the lower is in great condition. It shifts and spins smoothly. No signs of metal in the oil.
