Up for consideration, I have a Mercury power trim unit taken from a 2008 300 HP Mercury Racing XS. The pump works great. The hydraulics were disconnected when I got the motor and it had been sitting outside for a bit. The oil/fluid in the cylinder/trim ram looked milky, so you should flush that out and replace the fluid.
