ford 390 fe.

My father was Spike Brown and built the engine. There are very little miles on this engine. He passed away, and I have switched the engine out of the 67 Mustang that he raced.
My father's close friends are helping with selling the engine and have provided details below. The engine is a 390 cubic inch most likely 30 overbore. The block has a C5 casting number. The crank is an OEM Ford as well as the rods. My father always drilled the block for better oiling. The oil pan is a deep sump with a high volume oil pump. The water pump is OEM, no fuel pump as the car had an electric pump at that time. The heads are also OEM. They likely have some type of port work done to them. There is an Erson shaft mounted rocker arm setup on the heads, pistons are likely high domes 12 to 1 compression ratio, camshaft is a solid roller with heavy wall pushrods. The cam is an Erson cam.
The engine is set up to run on racing fuel.
