Willy's alcohol fuel regulator features a special diaphragm that uses engine vacuum to automatically regulate fuel pressure. At idle or deceleration, when manifold vacuum is high, the fuel pressure regulator opens and drops fuel pressure for clean restarts and keeps carburetor from flooding or blubbering in the corner. As the throttle is opened, manifold vacuum drops which closes the fuel pump regulator and raises pressure for proper straightaway fuel mixture.
This bypass fuel regulator is designed to be used with a piston-style mechanical fuel pump only. Alcohol regulator has a -8 AN O-ring female inlet port and a -8 AN male return fitting. Requires a fuel return line and vacuum port (base plate or intake manifold) for installation.
Alcohol regulator provides 10 psi at 4500 RPM and 2-5 psi at idle
