Here we have a nice, original 1970 Ford Mustang/Shelby/Cougar AM car radio complete with correct knobs.  It's a very clean unit and may have been an early takeout.  Part number for this radio begins with D0ZA and it was made by Philco.  This radio is the same as the 1969 model except for the part number which would start with C9ZA.  The '68 radio is the same appearance wise but utilizes shorter volume and tuning shafts.  Radio has been bench tested and does work very well with good volume.  The antenna trimmer was adjusted while bench testing but should be readjusted once hooked up to the car's antenna.  Tone control works properly.  Pushbuttons work very smoothly and set stations properly.  All pushbuttons have been cleaned and and are in very nice cosmetic condition.  Manual tuning works fine up and down the scale.  All wiring and connectors are intact.  I had to splice on a power/dial light connector as the original had been cut off.  I used solder and color coded heat shrink insulation.  Dial indicator is very bright in color and the dial light is functional (new green LED light installed).  The plastic dial lens is in very nice condition.  The face has been lightly polished and is very clear.  The silver strip above the pushbuttons shows minimal wear so I opted not to repaint it.  Dial numbering is still very bright.  The knobs are the original chrome plated plastic and are in nice condition.  The front knob on the tuning side has an area where a small amount of chrome peeled off.  It's hardly noticeable.  The inside of the radio has been blown free of any dust and loose debris.  The radio casing is very clean as mentioned above.  This will make for a very nice looking, correct unit for your early Mustang/Shelby/Cougar restoration project.  I will have, or currently have, other Mustang/Falcon/misc. radios in varying condition for sale.  I have sold many radios over the years through eBay and try to describe them as accurately as possible.  I take pride in my work and strive for 100% customer satisfaction.  I believe my feedback is a good reflection of these efforts.  Please add $17.95 for domestic shipping (insurance will be included). International bidders welcome.  Sorry, but I am unable to ship to Germany at this time.  Please contact me with any specific questions you may have.  Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
