These 429 Cobra Jet shortblock came to me with a 1971 Torino factory 429 Cobra Jet engine. The car was all original/number's matching and the owner was in search of even more power. The heads were removed from the engine along many of the other original parts including the intake, exhaust manifolds, and more. The owner then installed aluminum heads, a roller cam, headers, etc. Shortly after, the owner was then in search of even more power and replaced the entire drivetrain of the car with a larger displacement crate engine, race transmission, and narrowed rearend. The shop doing the work ended up with the original drivetrain as partial payment for the work and I bought the engine and transmission from them. I removed all the speed parts from the 429 Cobra Jet engine and plan to list all the parts here on Ebay. I also plan to list the original 429 4 bolt main Cobra Jet shortblock, the original Cobra Jet heads, original intake, original exhaust manifolds, pulleys, and original automatic transmission. It will take me a bit of time to get these parts listed so keep your eyes on my other listings. 

This factory 429 Cobra Jet C6 automatic transmission is in good condition as shown. It was removed from the car as a very strong working transmission. I imagine it was rebuilt at some point since the original ID tag is missing and I believe the tailhousing has been changed from cast iron to an aluminum unit. The original "R" servo which is an important part of this high performance transmission is intact as shown. The case is very nice with no breaks, repairs, or modifications. I spilled some fluid when I turned the transmission to show the bottom. As you can see, the fluid is clean and bright red. These original factory high performance 429 Cobra Jet tranmissions were rare when new and are very hard to find today. Don't miss this real deal 429 Cobra Jet C-6 transmission.
