Here is an almost complete 1967 Pontiac 400 c.i. engine rated at 325 H.P.. Original 4 barrel. Engine code is 660192 XX which denotes the 325 h.p. L-67 A/C with Turbo 400 and shows it was originally installed in a B Body car such as Catalina, Bonneville, Gran Prix, or Star chief Executive. The engine (block casting # 9786133 is 1967 ONLY) does turn by using a small crescent wrench on the balancer bolt, so it should be buildable. It has been stored 14 years in a building. I don't know much more than that about it's history. Having gone over it thoroughly, I see no damage to the block. No popped freeze plugs. I do know there was an issue with the passenger head as it was going to be removed then they stopped for whatever reason. It is missing a rocker and looks like it has one stuck valve. I don't see any damage to either head. The heads are original to this engine and are dated 1967. They are the very desirable #061 Heads which are considered some of the the most desirable D port heads Pontiac made and with a good port job and conversion to screw in studs can be made to perform very well. They have just about as open chamber as you can have in a wedge head. The 4V intake is also original # 9782896 dated E 31 7 and has no damage. There is no distributor or carburetor. The water pump is # 9782482 and is correct. Timing cover is nice # 9783130 dated 1967 and is nice and original. Exhaust manifolds are: # 9779328 and is nice and original. Also # 490143 dated J043 and is nice but its a 1973. This unit is still very probably standard bore having the original water pump on it. Would look great in a 1967 Firebird or 1967 GTO! NO RESERVE-HIGH BIDDER OWNS IT!
