For parts or fix if you can. No flares included. I was able to cock the hammer and pull the trigger easy, however, it was very difficult opening the loader, certainly not like the picture. I could not open the loader to 90 degrees to load a flare. I removed the black peg to see inside, revealing a spring and a white piece.

I read online that there was a recall on this item from Olin (now Orion), and guns with U.S. Coast Guard approval code 160 028/12/1 should have the loading problem fixed… which this one has based on the pictures. I cannot figure out how to put it back and have the barrel open enough to fit a flare.

I also read online that one solution a person did, was file down the white piece to allow the loader to open more. However, I am not technically inclined to try, and rather leave it to someone with more knowledge.
