Additional Info	This Volvo Penta lower unit is in overall good condition and ready for install. The skeg is worn down just a little-approximately an inch.  We cleaned it up but did not add back to it.  The paint shows standard, expected wear, but nothing that will affect the overall performance. From the base of the vertical shaft to the top, it measures approximately 5" long and has 17 splines. The propeller shaft has 19 splines. All the splines are in good condition and are not chipped or cracked. Please note that we cannot pressure check this lower unit because it has been removed from the upper. The oil was drained from the unit because of shipping restrictions. Upon doing so, we noted that it was very clean and did not have any metal shavings whatsoever. Given our unprecedented 1 year warranty, you will not find a better deal on an OEM part. Purchase with confidence! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty: Core must be of rebuildable quality Cannot be locked up - must spin Up to 30 days from the date of purchase to send in your core Covers mechanical aspects ONLY Warranty begins from date of purchase Core must be complete and cannot be missing parts You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit one year warranty. One copy is for your records and the other copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the one year warranty will not be valid. You are responsible for returning the paperwork with your core. The one warranty ONLY covers the mechanical aspects of the lower unit. We have a 30-day return policy for all circumstances.  Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 1 year warranty. Fits:	The upper that this lower unit was removed from has a 1.97:1 Gear Ratio but it can be interchanged with a 1.66 upper.
