The design is rugged andsturdy making the handset suitable for harsh outdoor conditions.Also, it features a loudspeaker option for hands free operation thatis particularly useful for provisional camps on land. Finally, theEXPLORER ISDN handset has a line out interface enabling you toconnect it to standard headsets, external loudspeakers and recordingequipment.


Display indicators and integrated BGaNfunctionality
The EXPLORER ISDN has display indicators showing satellite signalstrength, battery status, easy line-up and monitoring when usedwith the EXPLORER 100/110 terminals. This makes it possible to usethe terminal as a powerful satellite phone without needing a laptop.You can also send and receive text messages, when using the hand-set with the EXPLORER 100/110. Furthermore, the handset can ofcourse be used in normal ISDN mode with other BGAN satelliteterminals with Euro ISDN interface.
