    Acting as a break-away system to prevent further damage to your costly gearcase and propeller .Also includes drain hole to prevent corrosion.

     

     

    EASY TO INSTALL

     

    Step 1 : The skeg must be at least 2-3 inches of upper skeg remaining to secure the Skeg Guard . If any portion of the skeg has been bent or distorted , it must be re-conformed to the original shape.

     

    Step 2 : Tap the Skeg Guard into Placeusing a mallet( leather , rubber , or wooden ) , slide the Skeg Guard onto the skeg and gently tap on it to get it started . Then drive it on with the mallet until it is fully seated.

     

    Step 3 : Install the HardwareUsing the pre-drilled mounting holes on the Skeg Guard as pilot holes ,drill into the skeg using a drill bit.

     

    Step 4 : Install the stainless steel self-locking hardware using the hex tools provided in the product package. The hardware is dipped in a thread locker to prevent the bolts from coming loose.
