• Simply slide the flanged end of the thru-hull over the tool

• Tie a length of monofilament line to the eye and thread it through the hole in the hull and through the thru-hull lock nut or seacock

• Caulk the flange of the fitting, then pull it tight to the hull and screw the thru-hull to the fitting
