Used to separate suspension strut from wheel bearing housing.

Most common would be changing/replacing struts, coil spring, or the entire strut assembly, allows you to spread the housing where it is clamped on so that the strut can be removed.

This tool is used on Audi: TT, all A4 platform, VW: Golf, Jetta, and Gti, 337, 20a.e. GTI model year 1999 to present.
