On a performance budget? Give your 2007-12 Mustang Shelby GT500 a tremendous performance gain with this highly ported & polished (P&P) OEM 60MM Throttle Body (TB). TB has been P&P for max. airflow, increased volume & velocity, and elimination of airflow turbulence to the max. extent possible provides a tremendous boost in torque and gains of 10 - 13 HP or more depending on other modifications and in most cases will improve MPG due to the superior increase in airflow as less throttle pressure is required for normal cruise (**See Reference feedback below for 3V GT's). TB provides exceptional throttle response and pulls hard, especially in the mid-range; and is comparable to 62-63 MM performance. After market performance TB's are very expensive and this TB provides a viable performance alternative at very reasonable cost. Depending on a variety of factors of the intended installation a tune may or may not be required, however, with any performance addition on electronic/computer controlled vehicles a performance tune is highly recommended to achieve best performance. Includes the electronic motor control with polished outer housing and Throttle Position Sensor (TPS.

You will not find better performance at this price that also includes the motor control. If you do buy it. To achieve the best performance this TB has to offer a cold air intake system and performance exhaust is a must.

The motor control has been checked for electrical continuity plus operation and checks ok. Under no load, the motor runs at 1.2VDC @ 1.65 AMP. The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) has been checked for electrical continuity only.
Instructions provided are for a twin bore 2005 up aftermarket TB, however, the same identical installation criteria is required for all Ford electronic Fly-By-Wire TB's, regardless of single blade or twin bore applications with very minor exceptions as this is an OEM TB, not aftermarket.
I P&P all TB's for maximum airflow capacity. The original bore & blade remain, the significant performance gain is achieved by 50% reduction of the blade shaft, new max. strength low profile stainless blade screws, opening & reshaping the air intake horn plus critical work in front of the blade to substantially increase the incoming airflow and volume resulting in very high velocity with absolute minimum turbulence. The outlet side of the TB is also radiused for a smooth, turbulent free, transition of the airflow into the manifold. After all work is completed the TB is reassembled on a jig to maintain factory specifications, lastly I buff the exterior and polish the motor control housing for a nice under the hood appearance. Please note the external portion of the TB is buffed, it is not polished but looks 100% better than a new natural satin one out of the box.
All work is performed by hand using a variety of high speed cutters, and various grades of abrasive grit to attain the final product. Upon reassembly blade screws are coated with max. hold Lok-Tite and staked to prevent any potential risk of becoming loose or backing out.
Please keep in mind porting is not totally about making something bigger. Porting is about maximizing airflow, increasing volume and reducing turbulence to a absolute minimum as applied to the item(s) being modified. Porting requires very close attention to detail, in depth knowledge of airflow characteristics; and if done right, makes very significant gains in performance without having to spend huge amounts of hard earned money for aftermarket products. Porting will not effect fuel economy and in most cases improves MPG depending on driver habits, overall condition, tune and modifications to the applicable motor the TB is installed.
