This auction includes a set of BLACK sliders. We also have
WHITE sliders in stock. Email us, and we will tell you how you can get white sliders instead.
Protect your investment! Even a low speed fall can cost thousands to fix. With this pair of frame sliders, that cost is DRASTICALLY REDUCED. These sliders are CNC machined from a solid bar of High-Density Delrin, and not cheap nylon. Each slider measures approximately 3" long, and 1-3/4" in diameter and the bolt is 10mm.
Compatibility:
This set of sliders will fit on a 1991 through 1998 Honda CBR 600 F2 or F3 sportbike. Please check my other auctions for other models of Frame Sliders, Swingarm Sliders, and Bar Ends.
Installation Instructions: Remove your fairings, and find the engine mount locations where the sliders fit. They are made for a specific location. They will only fit in one place, and in one orientation. Remove one engine bolt, and replace it with one frame slider and included bolt. Remove the other engine mount bolt, and replace with the other frame slider and included bolt. Once you have the sliders mounted, you need to cut the fairings so that the sliders stick out of the fairing. I would suggest using a Dremmel tool with a sanding bit. Gradually make the hole larger until it just goes over the slider. Re mount your fairings and you are good to go. The torque on the slider bolts should not exceed 20-25 foot-pounds, with locktite on the threads.
The truth about aluminum inserts and "high strength" bolts:
Inserts: The sole purpose for aluminum inserts in frame sliders is to protect against smashing the frame slider if you overtorque the bolt. Delrin is pretty soft (softer than aluminum) and if you wrench on the bolt, you will crush the slider base. The increased size of the hole through the delrin that is needed to install an aluminum insert actually makes the slider weaker. There is no way that a slider is going to pull itself over the head of a bolt in a crash. But it might pull off of an aluminum insert.
"High Strength" bolts: I am a mechanical engineer. Do a google search on the properties of steel, and you will find that as the tensile strength of a bolt goes up, its brittleness also goes up. High tensile strength bolts are ONLY good when the bolt is not subjected to repeated cyclic loading (vibration) and the impact forces are low. For a frame slider application the best bolt to use is the one which has the most ductility. In the event of a crash, you want a bolt that is soft enough to bend, but not break. Take a high strength drill bit, put it in a vise, hit it from the side with a hammer, and you will see what I am talking about.
My competitors are really getting desperate lately. Don't be fooled by their lies. They are trying to confuse you, and make you pay more money for the same protection. With almost a decade of manufacturing Frame Sliders under our belt, and nearly 60,000 sets of frame sliders sold so far, I would say that we know a thing or two about Frame Sliders.

By bidding on this item you are agreeing to all of the terms and conditions listed below.
(1.) All communication with us is done via direct Email to the email address you have on file with Ebay. Very important emails from us will go to that email address. If your junk mail/spam blocker filter is set too high, all of our emails will get filtered out, and we will have no way to communicate with you. This will cause MAJOR problems for both of us. Please, BEFORE you bid, turn your junk mail filter DOWN a notch or two, or OFF alltogether, so that our Emails do not get filtered out. Also, check your junk mail and deleted mail folder often just in case our emails to you happen to get filtered there.
(2.) Do NOT bid on two or three items and only pay for one of them. Keep in mind, Ebay will TERMINATE your account for doing this. Be VERY careful not to bid on multiple items unless you intend to pay for multiple items. Each time you click on "Bid" or "Buy it Now" then you click on "Commit to Buy" you are agreeing to buy another item. If you "accidentally" bid on something and win it, I will expect you to "accidentally" pay for it. If Paypal is not working for you for whatever reason, email me, and I will tell you what to do. ALL Non-paying bidders will be reported to Ebay, a Non-Paying bidder alert will be filed, you will be blocked from all of our future auctions, and your Ebay account may be terminated. If you buy this item, please make it your priority to pay for it.
(3.) This item MUST be shipped to the country your Paypal account is registered in. NO FREIGHT FORWARDERS OR THIRD PARTY SHIPPERS! If your Paypal account is INTERNATIONAL (not registered within the US, Canada included), there is NO WAY to have this item shipped to a US address if you pay with Paypal. We MUST ship to the country your Paypal account is registered in. An example of this would be if you live in Canada, and your Paypal account is registered in Canada, and you want me to ship within the US. Paypal will NOT allow me to do that, and I will NOT do that. This is a VERY common Ebay/Paypal scam. If you have an INTERNATIONAL Paypal account, and you want me to ship to a US address, you cannot pay with Paypal. Some other sellers may chose to violate the rules of Paypal, but we definately will NOT. If you cannot follow the rules of Paypal, please do not pay with Paypal.
(4.)Because of Paypal's Seller Protection Policy, items paid for with Paypal MUST be shipped via US Mail to the address that is on your Paypal payment. If your current paypal address is not where you want this item shipped, you must first EDIT your paypal address to the correct address before you send the payment. Please make sure your Paypal address is 100% correct BEFORE sending your payment. If you send a payment with a bad address on it, and the item gets returned to me by the post office, you will be required to pay for the reshipment of the item, so double check your address on the payment before you send the payment.
(5.) Shipping price includes PACKAGING, and HANDLING, not just POSTAGE. Please DO NOT BID unless you are ABSOLUTELY SURE this is what you want, you intend to purchase it, and you TOTALLY agree with the Shipping and Handling charge. Shipping and Handling is part of the price of this item. Understand and accept this before you bid on this item. Please do not complain about the shipping and handling charge after you have bought this item.
