This handy spanner wrench allows you to properly adjust the side carrier bearings on a 9" Ford rear end. Works with carrier bearing adjuster rings that have perfectly ROUND holes only (as pictured). Will not work on rings with elongated or oval holes.

Nice tool for the money- and it fits in the case you keep your pinion depth measuring tools in. Because of it's length, it's a little tough to crank on the carrier bearing adjusters when the caps are torqued. Pins are sturdy and haven't fallen out yet....

Would purchase againNova from Ill
Should have a 1/2" opening in place of the closest round hole so a 1/2" Torque wrench could be used to set the pre load on a 9" ford side bearings.Some suggest 150-175lbs for a final setting to prevent any ring gear flex.Hard to do with just your hand on this wrench so I squared a hole out and it worked fine.
