A note to my customers about shipping:
I do not make any profit on the shipping. Ebay and Paypal, however, do. When a customer gets upset and threatens me with a poor rating, telling me that they know the shipping cost me $6 and I charged them $7, my response is that it was the true cost of the shipping, because the customer must pay the fees that Ebay and Paypal charge.
If you expect to buy a $600 American made Schott leather jacket for $200, and you live in Germany, France, Istanbul, Russia, or wherever, I assume you cannot get an American made Schott leather jacket there, or you would have one already, so don't ask me to pay for your shipping to send a 14 pound item across the globe for $6. If it costs $100 to ship, that's what you have to pay, and if you won it, you have to pay for it.
If you want to pay 30%-50% less than retail, since I don't have a store location, I agree, Ebay is the way to go, but it costs a few dollars to get the product to you.
I use USPS priority flat rate for most domestic and for international shipping, with tracking, etc. I don't set their rates, they do. I am not going to chase all around the city trying to send things to you via "Uncle Pepe's Shipping Co." to save you $3.
I am a good seller because I strive for 5 star service! I ship same day if payment is in by noon and I answer emails within 24 hours.
