VW VANAGON & WESTFALIA CROSS-DRILLED ROTORS & BRAKE & BEARING KIT - NEW - FITS 1980-1992 2WD & 4WD SYNCRO

The front rotors on the Vanagons and Westfalia vans are anything but adequate when it comes to braking on steep downhill grades resulting in the brakes 'glazing' up, making stopping difficult and driving on steep mountain downhill grades - very dangerous.

Recently I located a company in California that manufactured for me a set of thick, hardened steel Cross-Drilled & Slotted Rotors designed to fit any 1986-1991 VW Vanagon and/or Westfalia camper van. They are slightly thicker and wider than the standard Vanagon rotors and come with new wheel bearings and new organic or ceramic brake pads. The result is much better braking with no overheating of the brake pads.

I installed them on my 2WD 1989 Westfalia for travel in the Sierras, and they work so much better than the thinner stock rotors with no more glazing of pads on the steep downhill grades. I installed new European bearings and races as well as a set of Ceramic dustless brake pads to cut down on dust on the alloy rims. The Ceramic brake pads and thicker rotor combination allows the Westfalia to 'stop on a dime'.... that is: increased stopping power. I liked the results so much that I had a dozen sets of cross-drilled & vented rotors manufactured for me. I also ordered a few sets designed to fit the earlier Westfalias and Vanagons built between 1980 and 1985, so if you would like a set of X-drilled rotors for those years, I have those available as well.

I am offering for sale a set of two (2) front X-drilled rotors and two brand new sets of European bearings, races and Ceramic brake pads designed to fit any 1980 - 1992 Vanagon or Westfalia 2WD or 4WD (Syncro). The rotors come in Black or Silver anodized steel. You need only specify the year and model of the van you want them for and whether you want them to be black (as pictured) or silver.

This brake kit will fit any 14, 15 or 16" wheel equipped with standard VW stock calipers. This is a great, practical alternative to GoWesty's Big Brake Kit at about half of the cost.
