They were original factory accessories for most makes from 1935-54. The hollow brass construction frames “telescope” in and out, in order to properly fit over the edges of your license plates, including the odd-sized original plates used by many states. The maximum dimensions of these frames are aprox. 15 inches x 6 1/2 inches. The minimum dimensions are aprox. 9 1/4 inches x 4 1/2 inches.
