Japan production VIN# starts with letter J
North American production VIN# starts with number 2 most of the time. Anything other than "J" is North American.
FITMENT GUIDE
Japan Production (vin starts with J) = Works for all RX models 2004-2009 N-American and Japan.
N-American Production (vin starts with anything else) = works for N AMERICAN PRODUCTION ONLY!
The difference is found in the head rest posts. The back flap of the cover clips onto the headrests. If you do not care about the flap or if you dont mind making another solution to connect the flap then this cover will work for your N american model.
