For sale here is a brand new Factory Audi upper trunk latch for the following:

2005 TO 2010 Audi A6 4 Door Sedan

If your trunk isn't latching this could very well be the problem. It's not uncommon for this latch (which mounts in the trunk lid itself) to be the problem. We're not diagnosing the problem, that would be up to you or a professional to do. We just know this is a common problem with the Audi models listed above.

This latch fits most of the A6 sedans for the listed years but if you're at all uncertain please feel free to send your 17 digit VIN number and we'll check in the factory Audi parts catalog to ensure fitment.

This is a dealership item and does not come with directions for replacement. It's not a very tough replacement though. It's basically some screws/bolts and then unplug and plug in an electrical switch. There can be come minor adjustments once it's installed but if you have a decent mechanical working knowledge then this shouldn't be too much.
