Toting around a ladder that’s longer than your truck bed is a hassle, because if it’s not tied or bungeed down, it can either take flight on its own over a bump, or wind up trying to enter the cab through the rear window. Both of these options are bad; the best solution is to haul the ladder around on a proper ladder rack.
