EVINRUDE Fisherman Outboard Motor
Model 5524R014
You are bidding on an antique or vintage 50 year old, 5.5 horsepower EVINRUDE Fisherman outboard motor. It is model number 5524R014. The serial number is #10295. It was acquired from a Florida estate sale, and not much is really known about this item. The cosmetics appear to be super right, the pull rope indicates good compression. Although we have NOT tried or tested this item, we are advertising it as USED engine or motor, and sincerely believe it will run with a bit of tinkering and a little work. We must, however, emphatically state herein that we are promoting this item as an antique or vintage item, and it is being sold explicitly for display or restoration purposes, and NOT as a running engine.
It, however, was rumored when we acquired this item, that its former owner had it in tip-top running condition. The new spark plugs and the overall appearance of this unique engine are just as you see it, and as it was when we acquired it. We have done absolutely nothing to enhance it in any way. The paint and decals are apparently original. You may very well be able to tinker with it a bit, and make it a super fabulous restoration project. Most likely, it will need nothing more than a carburetor tune-up, a little gasoline, and a pull on the rope. Again, we must emphatically state we are promoting it as a vintage and antique item with no warranty or guarantee being expressed or implied. Further, there will be NO returns on this item.
We have taken many photos to give you a good insight as to what we are offering. There is no manual or any other assessories included, the gas can, that is also pictured, will also be included, and at NO COST, just the additional shipping costs. It will necessitate another shipping carton. What you see in the photos to the right is exactly what you will receive. Make no mistake however, it is a 50 year old engine, it is super clean, and from our vantage point it appears to be all original. It is certainly worth far far more than our minimum acceptable bid (reserve amount) for someone who needs just this particular vintage motor to compliment a long standing boat restoration. We are also pleased to include for your viewing pleasure and copied below a hyperlink to a You Tube video of an identical 1962 5.5 horsepower Evinrude Fisherman in use.

A similar used motor, sold locally right here in the Daytona Beach area for $600 recently, and it was not nearly as sweet looking as our offering.
We have placed this rare and unique motor in our eBay store, with a fair asking price of $349. Because of our very low price and also because it is being promoted as an antique or restoration item, it is being sold absolutely AS-IS, and WHERE-IS, and with NO warranty and NO guarantee being expressed or implied. We also PREFER that this item be picked up in the Daytona Beach area. It is heavy, old, and fragile, we, however, will prepare it for shipment to your location for a fee of $50 plus the actual shipping and packing costs. Otherwise, this item MUST be picked up in the Daytona Beach, Florida area. Good Luck.
Make no mistake, however, this is a used or previously operated piece of machinery, and the condition, although clean, is unknown, as it has not been started or tested.
Again, PLEASE be cognizant that this item is being sold AS-IS and with NO warranty, guarantee, or return.
If you are shopping or comparing this item with a brand new motor ... you most likely will be disappointed. As with all vintage vehicles and/or engines, they will need some tinkering, some more than others. That's why they call it a hobby. If your handy with tools, enjoy tinkering with small engines, and are intrigued by items from yesteryear ... and oh yes ... the water, then this is your vintage or antique motor. While there is no warranty or guarantee on this item our 100% eBay track record, and over 1,560 positive eBay feedback's speaks for itself. Good Luck.
This item is primarily being promoted for pick up and delivery in the Daytona Beach, Florida area.
In the event you will require that this item be shipped to your residence or place of business, please know it will be quite expensive. Crating or boxing and carefully packaging this item with sheets of Styrofoam, as well as the shipping or freight charges depending on your proximity to Daytona Beach, Florida most likely could easily equate to half of the price of this item, and maybe more.
It is also being promoted for sale locally. We reserve the right to cancel or withdraw this auction at any time unless the reserve amount has been met. If you truly would like to have this item, don't wait or procrastinate. It's nice, its old, and its very unique ... it will not last long. Good Luck.
