LEDs are particularly suited to brake light applications, as they rise to full intensity approximately 200 milliseconds (0.2 seconds) faster than incandescent bulbs, or about 10 times faster. This may not sound like a lot, but it may be all the time that's needed for the driver behind you to see your brake lights and react to avoid a potential accident.

LED lights are the most advanced form of lighting. They're compact and durable, and with an average lifespan of 50,000-75,000 hours, you might as well say they'll last forever. They're much more energy efficient, using 90% less power than incandescent bulbs. And unlike conventional bulbs, they produce no heat during operation, so there's no need to worry about where you install them. The HotLinez LED Tailgate Bar is secured with adhesive mounting pads in the gap between the bottom of the tailgate and the bumper. The bar itself won't be visible, just the light it emits. The HotLinez bar plugs right into your truck's 4-pin trailer connector, but should your truck not have this connector, detailed instructions are included to hard-wire the bar into your electrical system.

The HotLinez LED Bar can also be mounted on the side of your truck and used for running lights/turn signals. Two bars must be purchased for this option. The HotLinez LED Bar is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
