For sale in this auction are genuine Mercedes-Benz emergency air suspension buffers for vehicles equipped with air suspension. These are the metal brackets that mount to the underside of the body above the rear axle. Although there are other items pictured, this auction is for one pair only (two pieces). If you look carefully, you can see some of the original rubber preservative still present (white powder) from when these parts were first manufactured. The Mercedes star and part number are still mostly visible on the rubber buffer and can be seen in the pictures.
These buffers are designed to be kept in the trunk of your car with your tool kit. If your air suspension fails, your car can be jacked up and you simply install these metal brackets on top of the existing bump stops, remove the jack and drive to the nearest service center. You could even finish out your day at the car show and still drive home with your dignity intact. Forget the expensive tow bill and the time wasted on the side of the road. When will the tow truck show up? Who cares- you can fix the problem yourself and drive away in minutes!!!
