Product Description
Transmission Synchronizer Assembly, First And Reverse, Incl. Blocking Ring (18883.09) by Omix-Ada®. The synchronizer brings parts that are rotating at different speeds to one speed. It consists of a hub that is splined to the mainshaft, 2 blocking rings, insert detents and their springs, and a sleeve. Acting on the shift lever moves the shift shaft and fork, which in turn moves the sleeve to lock the selected gear to the mainshaft. A worn synchronizer can make shifting hard, or in extreme cases, prevent shifting.
