THE FACE IS MADE FROM PLASTIC AS ORIGINAL. 1966 HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY, NOT POT METAL LIKE THE 1967 VERSION. THIS ALLOWS FOR CHROME PLASTIC PLATING WHICH WILL NOT PIT OVER TIME. THE FRAME AND LEVERS ARE MADE FROM A HEAVIER DUTY METAL ALLOY TO PREVENT BREAKING, WHICH WAS THE PROBLEM WITH THE ORIGINALS.
