Goodmark GMK432084567 - 67-68 Pontiac Firebird Left Right Tail Light Lens 2 Pcs
Product Description
Driver or Passenger Side Tail Light Lens by Goodmark®, 2 Required. No matter how well preserved a classic car may appear, if there's any detectable damage it's probably in the quarter panels. Years of throwing dirt, rain, and debris (and snow and road salt in northern climes) from the rear tires up into the wheel wells eventually brings on the rust bug, and those once beautiful quarter panels end up looking more like Swiss cheese. But now, thanks to Goodmark, you can restore your classic to its former glory with quality replacement quarter panels.

Classics and muscle cars from the 50s, 60s and 70s were vulnerable to rust, especially in the quarter panels. Rust prevention techniques at the factory were rather primitive and water drainage methods were often not well thought out. As a result, quarter panels could start rusting through in only a few years, particularly in places where the roads were regularly salted in winter. There's also a good chance that your classic or muscle car was involved in a minor collision long before you owned it. So even if the quarter panel looks good, who knows what's lurking under that paint? That rust or collision damage could have been incorrectly repaired with excess body filler. To make sure your classic or muscle car ends up looking like the day it rolled off the assembly line, you need new quarter panels from Goodmark.
Restoring cars isn't just a business for the people at Goodmark, they're also car enthusiasts and restorers just like you, and they wouldn't make anything they wouldn't install on their own cars or trucks. Each quarter panel is CAD/CAM designed to make sure it exactly replicates the original panel, then it's manufactured with the most modern tooling. Each design is test fit to make sure it looks and fits perfectly. Goodmark's factory style quarter panels all feature a full sail panel to the roof and door jamb pillar (if used originally) and extend to the trunk opening and wrap around the tail panel just like the original part. Quarter skins are nearly as large as full quarter panels but do not include any trunk lips or sail panel, and quarter patches are for repairing small holes in specific areas.
Unfortunately, the quarter panel is seldom the full extent of the damage. Related panels like inner quarter panels, wheelhouses and quarter panel extensions may also be damaged and should be replaced at the same time. These along with all the trim parts, moldings, ornaments and emblems needed to completely restore the quarter panel area of your car are available from Goodmark.
Goodmark® was founded in 1991 by car enthusiasts, restorers and collectors just like you. They recognized that there was a need for quality restoration parts, especially sheet metal parts, if the restoration of our beloved American classics was to continue. Since that time, Goodmark has created a complete line of sheet metal, trim parts, and accessories for popular cars like the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang, and for previously difficult to restore cars like the Dodge Challenger and Plymouth Barracuda. Goodmark uses CAD/CAM (computer aided design and computer aided manufacturing) software and modern tooling and manufacturing techniques to create parts that are identical to factory original for perfect fit and finish. Quality parts tooled and manufactured by Goodmark are enabling many more American classic and muscle cars to return to the road, looking just as fine as the day they rolled off the assembly line.
