Here is some information on this Corvette chassis:

"The architecture of the LS series makes for an extremely strong engine block with the aluminum engines being nearly as strong as the iron generation I and II engines and with the iron LS engines far exceeding the capabilities of the previous two generations. The engine also introduced coil-on-plug ignition. The traditional five-bolt pentagonal cylinder head pattern was replaced with a square four-bolt design, and the pistons are of the flat-topped variety (in the LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, LQ9 and L33), while all other variants, including the new LS9 received a dished version of the GM piston. The cylinder firing order was changed to 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3, so that the LS series now corresponds to the firing pattern of other modern V8 engines.

At Cleveland Pick-A-Part, we thoroughly inspect each motor and transmission and then back it with our exclusive 6-month warranty! Before we start each engine, we remove all the spark plugs and hand turn the engine over to make sure no oil has passed the rings. We do a compression test to make sure the rings, valves, and head gaskets are properly sealed. We do a vacuum test to make sure there are no burned or sticking valves, collapsed lifters, or vacuum leaks. We do an oil pressure test at cold start up and warm operating temperatures to ensure proper bearing clearance and that there are no restrictions in the oiling system. We do a CO test to make sure there are no cracks in the block and heads, and that there are no exhaust gases present in the cooling system. We inspect the manual transmission by draining and inspecting the transmission fluid. We then remove the filter and check for debris or foreign material. We then refill the transmission with new fluid and run test it through all of the gears to ensure that it shifts properly. If any problems are found, the transmission will be torn down for inspection and repaired as necessary We inspect the rear differential by checking the runout and smooth bearing operation, differential unit, side gears, and ring and pinion.

This Chassis is listed "AS IS"! It will come exactly as described and pictured. Once you purchase the chassis , it is yours. We welcome you to come inspect the vehicle prior to bidding or buying during normal business hours. We are more than happy to show you every part of the chassis.

At times, we may add parts to the chassis prior to listing that will assist the future buyer in their custom application, cosmetically or mechanically.

Salvage Information

It is the buyers responsibility to check with all local and international laws and relating to titles and transport when dealing with rolling chassis. No title will be provided, just a bill of sale with the VIN number of what every part was removed from.

Storage

Once the chassis is paid for, we will provide storage for up to two weeks until pickup or delivery. $25 per day after two weeks.

We may allow for additional storage if discussed prior to purchase.

Towing

We will assist in all towing needs should the buyer decide to provide their own shipping. We will also help loading should the chassis be picked up by the buyer. Should you decide to set up your own towing, we are not responsible once the chassis is being loaded onto the transport.
