You will get a set of 3, 26mm carbs alone, the cables, hoses, and bracket are sold separate. These are a direct replacement to Amal Concentric 900 series and MK II Amals. All the jets are available and can be cross referenced to your Amal jets. To install these to the T150 or T160 you need to get the cables like pictured, 3 to one cable set up. You wont be able to use the stock cable bus. They don't need the air cables, as they use a plunger type fuel enricher for start up. While the plunger remains on the same side like MK II Amals the idle screw can be moved to either side for easy tuning while on your journey.
These carbs are superior to Amals and round slide Mikuni. The flat slide which is chromed will last much longer than the round counterpart and will never wear out because it uses engine vacuum to the seal. When a round slide carb starts to wear there is no way for it to seal and it starts to leak air after which continues to get worse until the carb is replaced. Below is a testimony of how these work great for this application as they are jetted: (Message Customer)
Dear steadfastcycles,
Thank you,
Yes
the problem I have at present is Throttle Lag being slow to return to
idle speed indicating too lean on the primary and idle circuit. The
Carb's are Synchronised using manometers and there are no vacuum leaks
on the induction tracts, also when warmed up I have coax it off the idle
it's got otherwise it just spits back and dies, there is also a flat
spot when entering the main metering circuit but after that it's fine
the engine spins up and the bike flies.
Kindest Regards Steve 'B' (From Steadfast) Dear steveybee6010,
If
your lean on the idle circuit you can open the idle screw / but I don't
see why it would lag on idle return unless it was getting too much
fuel, but maybe i'm wrong / that flat spot is too much fuel, you need to
go down one size on the main, or move your needle all the way down.
When
starting, raise the idle speed till it warms up, then back off / You
should be able to do that on your upper throttle cable adjust.
I think the idle lag needs a smaller idle jet(From Customer) Dear steadfastcycles,
Good Morning,
Heads up on my T160 carb set up.
I
lowered the needles to their lowest position (From the Center Groove
Position) as suggested. This has resulted in a smooth transition from
idle all the way through to WOT without any hesitation or flatspots.
Your comment "but maybe i'm wrong" was actually correct as it was too
much fuel from the needle / needle jet circuit set up being incorrectly. The return to idle is now without lag and the idle speed is now stable.
May
i take this opportunity to offer my personal gratitude is your guidance
in helping me to resolve my carburetor settings on my Triumph T160.
Kindest Regards Steve 'B'
