The PulseTech® Products Corporation Xtreme Charge™ smart charger is a "next generation" 5-Stage Maintenance Charger that is
complete automatic and utilizes a proprietary charging/testing
algorithm, that not only optimizes the battery performance, but clearly displays the condition of the battery at all times by utilizing a series of 12 LED indicators. Simply plug the charger in to a typical ac power source, connect
the clips (or lugs) to the battery, and walk away (for an hour or a year!). It then determines the profile and size of the connected battery and performs a 60 second test to determine its current state of health/charge. If the charger determines that the battery is bad and cannot be re-charged the BAD BATTERY light will
illuminate to let you know that the battery is either damaged or so deeply sulfated that it cannot accept an acceptable charge. Assuming the connected battery is in reasonable
condition, the Xtreme Charger will display the current state of charge, 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% and begin to apply the appropriate charge rate and begin its unique pulsing.
Since the XC100-W charger is designed for both maintenance and bulk charging, it automatically applies the minimum amount of charge amperage (0.0-2.5 A) necessary to restore the battery to optimal condition. Once the battery is fully charged, the actual charge function turns off and the charger only applies the desulfation PULSE. When the battery eventually drops below the threshold voltage, the absolute minimum
amount of charge is applied (often only 100-200mA) thus insuring the battery is never stressed over over-charged. necessary to restore and maintain the. Again, the Xtreme Charger features both a high performance "bulk charge" to quickly and
safely bring any 12V battery to a fully charged condition and then automatically switches to a variable float charge. PulseTech's intelligent, microprocessor driven circuitry imposes only the correct amount of charge rate as determined by the continual evaluation of the battery's condition. The charge rate may be as minimal as 0.1 A (100mA) during typical float up to it's full 2.5 A for more deeply discharged batteries. WITH NEVER A POSSIBILITY OF OVER-CHARGING. No other
maintenance charger can accomplish this.
PulseTech's unique and patented PULSE technology increases the duty and life cycles of any size or type of 12-V lead-acid battery by minimizing the size of the lead sulfate crystals allowing for more active battery plate surface area to be used. This allows the battery to accept as much charge as possible without over-heating or over-charging. The patented PULSE technology ensure that your new batteries will stay in like-new condition while older batteries often improve dramatically. Duty cycles are typically extended from three to five times or considerably more depending
