Merchandise purchased from Buy12volt.com may be returnedfor arefund or a replacement within 60 days from the date of purchase. AnRMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number must be obtained from us.Within 14 days after the RMA number is issued, the merchandise must bein our possession.
Dead on Arrival (DOA)
Any claim on DOA must be made within 7days from the dateof receipt.A return label may be emailed at our discretion. As soon as we have thetracking information for the return, a replacement will be sent, or afull refund will be applied. We may issue a discount coupon to be usedfor next purchase.
Wrong Product Shipped
Right after an immediate investigation is completedinternally, areturn label for the wrong product may be emailed. As soon as we havethe tracking information for the return, a correct one will be shippedusing same method of shipping, or a full refund will be applied. We mayissue a discount coupon to be used for next purchase.
Refunds
Refunds are applied for the value of merchandise (notincludingshipping charges paid) to the same payment method at time of purchasewithin 3 business days after receipt of the returned merchandise. Afull refund is applied if an order is cancelled before the shipmentleaves our warehouse. Except for DOA, Wrong Product Shipped and DamagedMerchandise during transit by a carrier, our original ship cost will bededucted for all returned merchandise carrying free shipping from therefunds. A processing fee of 15% to the value of merchandise will bededucted from the refunds for all returns - this fee may be waived atour discretion if the returned merchandise is in original packagingand/or resalable condition, or defective.
Defective Merchandise
Defective merchandise will be replaced free of charges.Customersare responsible for shipping the merchandise to us, while we take careof cost to ship the replacement. If customers elect to receive arefund, our Refunds policy applies.
Exchanges
If a customer wishes to change an order before shipmentleaves ourwarehouse, this is considered to a cancellation of the order free ofcharges, and a new order should be placed since we do not issue a storecredit. If a customer is returning a product to exchange for adifferent one with equal or greater value, he/she simply pays for theprice difference - A processing fee of 15% may be charged if thereturned product is not in original package and/or resalable condition.
Damaged Merchandise
If merchandise is damaged by a shipping carrier, pleasecontact themand/or us immediately upon receipt. As soon as our insurance claim isapproved, a replacement will be shipped, or a full refund is applied.
Return Shipping
Except for DOA, Wrong Product Shipped and DamagedMerchandise duringtransit by a carrier, customers are fully responsible for ship cost ofthe returning merchandise -we do not cover or reimburse the ship costfor any returns. It is recommended to have a proper insurance for thereturns. We will ship the replacement to you at our cost.
Replacement Terms
The replacement for defective merchandise will beshipped within 3business days after receipt of the returned merchandise. We do not sendthe replacement until we receive and inspect them. In order to receivethe replacement right away, you may place a new order for the sameitem, and we will issue a full refund for the defective product(including ship cost paid), upon completion of our return process.
Return Exceptions
Although we are proud to offer the best returns policyin the industry, some exceptions to the policy is unavoidable:
- Product not purchased from Buy12Volt.com to bereturned at your expense
- Product without a valid and readable serial number
- Product without original packaging, retail box,manuals, cables, accessories, or any other item originally included inthe product
- Product that exhibits physical damage or abuse
For these returns, replacement cost may be charged ontop of 15% processing fee.
Warranty Policy
Although almost all brand new products carrymanufacturer's warranty, any defective product must be returned to usunless it is specified otherwise. We will do our best to take care ofdefective products for our customers even after the 60-day returnperiod is expired - a nominal processing fee may be charged.
International Returns
Although same policy applies to all products purchasedbyinternational/overseas customers, duties and taxes are problems for usand customers in addition to high ship cost. We will work it out withcustomers for each case. We have proven records of satisfied customersin this matter even if we've encountered only a handful of these cases.
