PROGRAMMING CHEVROLET: SILVERADO

   Use this procedure for New Body Style.

1.  Close all vehicle doors.

2. Insert key into ignition.  

3. Hold down power UNLOCK button on driver’s door panel-continue to hold down until instructed to release in step 9.   

4. Perform steps 5 - 8 in fairly rapid succession.   

5. Turn ignition to ON position (as far as you can go w/o starting engine).

6.  Turn ignition switch to OFF position.

7. Turn ignition switch to ON position.

8. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.  

9.Release power unlock button on door panel. vehicle will lock and unlock doors automatically.    

10.Hold down LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on remote simultaneously until  door locks & unlocks.  This step may take up to 30 secs.    

11.  Repeat step 10 NOW for each additional remote (including any existing remotes).    

12.Turn ignition switch to ON position in order to exit remote programming mode.  

                  use this procedure for Classic Body Style.

1.   Locate Data Link Port. It is located under dash drivers side. Be certain to know which pins are 8 &  4.
            (Notice port is wider on top row) 

 

   

 

2.  Make certain there are metal contact pins in terminals 8 & 4. Connect 8 to 4 w/ a  jumper wire (leave jumper wire connected throughout program procedure). Make certain to know which terminals are 8 & 4. vehicle will respond by locking & unlocking  doors to signify entering of program mode.    

3. Press & hold both LOCK & UNLOCK buttons together on 1st remote to be programmed. After about 15 secs, vehicle will respond by locking & unlocking doors. Release buttons on remote.  

4.Within 1minute, repeat previous step on remaining remotes to be programmed.    

 5.Remove jumper wire applied to the OBDII Port.
