THE WILD YOATS LED D.R.L. LIGHT BRACKETS FOR ARB brand OR OTHER BUMPERS

Introducing the Wild Yoats DRL Light Brackets for ARB brand and other bumpers. I have created these simple yet effective brackets to allow the use of LED Daytime Running Light technology into your ARB brand bumpers or you may use them as a universal unit provided they will work in your application.

I designed these brackets to fit into the ARB brand bumper that has the common 5.25” x 1.75” turn signal that ARB uses. ARB uses this same turn signal in many of their bumpers. For many vehicles, including the 80-Series Land Cruisers, the ARB turn signal is redundant to the OEM turn signal. For this reason, many to do not even use them. If you have the redundant turn signals, or you have other turn signals, my light brackets are a great way to enhance the look and more importantly the safety of your vehicle. These were designed using my 80 Series Land Cruiser. As long as you have this same style turn signal and additional room around it to clear the bracket housing, you should be good. Or, you may just wish to cut a new slot in any existing bumper to mount them.

LED DRL (Daytime Running Lights) have been commonly used by many European auto manufacturers for a few years now. It has been proven that DRL’s in general provide safety by making your vehicle more noticeable.

I specifically designed these brackets to use the PHILLIPS brand “Daytime LED 8” system lights (SOLD SEPERATELY). Each bracket was also designed to match the slight angle that ARB bumpers have. In essence, the brackets were designed to mount to face forward instead of an angle like the ARB turn signals are mounted.

The LED DRL light brackets require modification (cutting and drilling) of your ARB turn signal hole in order for the brackets to fit. Instructions and a template are included with the bracket kit, as well as stainless steel hardware for mounting the brackets.

The Wild Yoats DRL brackets are made of a THICK laser precision cut steel which is tack-welded together. The brackets are then professionally powder-coated to a sheen that best matches the ARB powdercoating.

Overall dimension of bracket face is 9” x 3”. The opening you will need to cut for the bracket to insert to is 7.5” x 1.6”.

1)      Order the Wild Yoats DRL LED Light brackets here!
2)      Order the Phillips Brand Daytime LED 8 lighting kit (available online elsewhere)
3)      Install the lights into the brackets (you also need the mounting screws), and install the brackets into your bumper using the instructions and template (stainless hardware for mounting the brackets are included).
4)      Wire them up (the Phillips system has both a bright mode for day use, and a dim mode for night use). In bright mode, these lights are the best out there and provide some great light. You can almost use them alone at night.
